Dude, Johnny would have rather taken you than go alone. He would have loved to show you off to his friends and allow them to see what a great girlfriend he has. Johnny wouldn't do anything that would upset you, he's a gentleman. Especially after what you told him yesterday! (you know what I'm talking about)
