Rounding up of thoughts, mostly unthinky

1. I made meatballs (turkey) and sauted spinach and pasta in a simmered and mixed together form. Survey says: I have not poisoned myself! Also? Pretty tasty. Will have to go over what I did with someone who's got a bit more on cooking than I do to see where I can tweak it. I really enjoyed Italo Calvino - he's 20th century and very fun. Try 'The Baron Who Lived in the Trees.'

Jane Austen is wonderful, Thomas Pynchon suites some people, Luis Borges - I prefer him to Marquez, who I find unreadable - is great for magical realism.

Cant think of any others at the moment, but i'll keep considering.
