AP Reading, Final Report; also, End of School Year

I did not hit my goal, but my colleague (who went because I told him repeatedly how MUCH he'd love it...and he did, and he wants to go back) DID. I'm SO excited that he got into the zone and scored 1200 essays!!!

I scored 900 essays. Would have been more but mornings...gods, I was useless and kept falling asleep over the essays, even when I ( Read more... )

We're hoping that Boy will start the school year more smoothly if he keeps his head in the game of "must do work every day" rather than having unfettered access to computer/video-game-joy All Day Every Day for hours and hours...and then having that "taken away"...which causes anxiety and frustration.

So we're doing Khan Academy, some math book discussion of how to set up problems, daily reading, piano lessons (and daily practice), and badge work for scouts. Yay!

Thanks re: the grading. And I'm rested and feel GOOD finally for the start of break. YAY!

And...it's not that I didn't have to fail anyone...it's that everyone got to pass...and mostly EARNED passing grades (or came close enough that I could fudge it up). Yay!
