This weekend, between Saturday morning and now, I recorded 183 hmwk assignments (no grading, just records), and graded 533 papers (varying length & complexity, most requiring comments of some sort). Just...dude

Well...semi-successful. I was terribly behind and have been spoken to about it. But it's DONE and now I can just move forward and keep up. YAY!
What made it worse is that for most of the Victorian novel essays, the kids ALSO did feedback for one another AND a reflection on their decisions and choices in the writing process. I TOTALLY believe in that assignment, and I KNOW that it helps them write better (and helps me to have more polished stuff to grade) but the reading of 3 assignments for each kid PER assignment...that sucks.
I suspect that MANY people will bookmark this to shove in my face. My Aunt Mary Angela told me I should print it out and put it on my forehead and the backs of both hands.

Working out one's limits is a good thing. And I love you.
(And your PM this morning on Yahoo? It was specific, but I'm not really ready to talk about it.)
