In short: I don't HAVE an OTP for Doctor Who as that's just not my approach to the show. If I HAD to have one, however, it would be Doctor/TARDIS.

Neil Gaiman's fanboying with EXCELLENT backstory knowledge and seeding of same makes me all kinds of happy.

I watched it for a second time and want to squish this episode so much. :)

A question, though--I was under the impression that the Doctor and the TARDIS /had/ communicated before, just not in language. They are both telepathic, so I just sort of assumed...

But maybe that's my own fanon. Hmmm.

Indeed. That's why Idris-TARDIS was commenting that they'd never *talked*, because although there has been communication of a sort, there has never been VERBAL communication or DIRECT communication; it's more sensations and ideas.
