Why diplomatic talks and discussion are NECESSARY

A good article (refuting a BAD one) about why diplomacy, talks, and a cessation of violence are a necessary part of healthy international (and human) relations. This is also why my country's policies the past decades have been devastatingly damaging and harmful to the world, to other humans, and to our own image and credibility.

Damn, and I respected Tom Friedman. He wrote a book on Israel and Palestine that I thought was insightful. Now he comes up with a "the Muslims are almost totally at fault" routine? Wow.
