Thank you for sharing all of this process with us. I know I haven't been responding a lot. I haven't known what to say, but I should have said, "I'm here." I've been reading all through, and hoping for the best for all of you. My prayer list is crowded this week; luckily, there's no size limit.
Congratulations on your great kids, and great husband, and your own good choices. My sympathy to your husband and her husband, especially, and also to you and your kids, and the SIL and all, at this difficult time. You're expressing such wonderful and wise acceptance, but... loss still sucks. It just does. I'm so sorry.
Thank you, for being there and keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. It means a lot. And there are no "shoulds" in this: each does what is possible at the time, and this comment is lovely and appreciated.
Abby seems unlikely to leave us behind any time soon, and I find that tremendously comforting as well.
