I'm tired of kids' shows (especially Blues Clues, Tank Driver Dave, Elmo, and even Disney and the Baby Einstein series). Poor Myr. We watched very few kids shows. We were living with my folks when she was your kids ages, so there was four adults in the house and only her. She ended up watching what we watched and it wasn't really a house hold that catered to a kid ( ... )

I have little patience with lots of the kids' programming, and am going to have to start saying, "We're not watching this."

The kids love Totoro and other stuff I like. I'm just tired of the current standbys.

I like the idea, though, of us dominating the television and them dealing. Hmm.

Have you tried other Miyazaki stuff like Spirited Away and Kiki's delivery service. My nephews LOVE Spirited Away, whether it's in English or Japanese.
