Sounds like a faboo idea! I went to my formals (yrs 10 and 12), but I had friends that all went together and we just did our own thing and had a great time.

It is 1am. I think it's time to go to bed now!

I think the Prom Trek idea was just wonderful. I wish I could have joined!

I did go to my HS prom. I was determined to go whether I had a date or not. In the end, I did have a date. Like you, I didn't like most of the other students at my school. I was a terrible dancer too. Still I had one moment of triumph by going to the prom: the dropped jaws when the saw my dress. See, back then the Laura Ashley-Guinnne Sax style was all the rage - but that's not what I wore. I designed it, my mother made it. It was quite sexy. It was a Chinese-style dress (Mandarin coller, cap sleeves, etc.) with a wide belt, skirt slit in the centre up to here, made out of wine brocade satin. I don't think anyone thought I could clean up so good.

Oh, yeah. Folks didn't know what to think, but lots thought we were fun. I had a full-length black wool cloak with a hood that I wore over the dress, too. It was great.

The other fun part was that, as we stood in line, we heard people saying, "It's an even-numbered movie. It's going to be okay. It's an even-numbered movie. It's going to be okay." That was when we knew that the whole theater was full of other Trek fans. :-)
