and I'm glad you've decided to switch doctors. I'm just sorry that your doctor made you waste money on a seminar. =/
My endocrinologist didn't have me test myself every day -- I think the last thing pregnant women need is to stress over every meal and over every test. I did have a test every week -- but different tests each time to see how I metabolized the glucose. There's the Glucose Tolerance Test (4 pricks, one every hour). The PP (?) where they take my blood an hour after I've had my meal. There's another test where you drink that glucose and then they test (forgot how many pricks). There's another test that tracks and gives an average of your levels for 3 months. How about you?
This is something I read in one of the mailing lists I belong to -- drinking unsweetened calamansi juice helps lower blood sugar. I took it during my diet (I don't know if it was that or the diet but my glucose levels did go down.)
