[ The video feed turns on, and it shows a glowing teenager with a bunch of tattoos and yellow eyes. There's a weird pattern of green around the tattoos; that's what's making them glow. ... I take offense to that, personally. What humans tend to think of as a monster is generally not one. Just because something has abilities that most normal people can't accomplish doesn't make them a monster.

And I'm a demon. There's nothing wrong with that, is there? I'm not out to hurt anyone. But I was human at one point before I was changed. Technically, I'm a prototype demon.

How true, however, these truly are. they have little to no regard to humans, aside from those they claim as their 'sacrifices'. Whatever that means.

... Um... it's not really experimentation? I don't think so. And by that point, there weren't enough humans for it to have mattered.

The same thing can be said of some very violent demons, but I've still managed to negotiate with them. Are you sure they're really bad enough to kill? ... If they're hurting people, that's not something I can condone, though. I'm... glad there's nothing like that here.

... Not really. I mean, some demons glow, but none of them are exactly like me. I'm a Fiend. The Hitoshura, to be exact--the "demi-fiend".

Though the name my parents gave me was Naoki. So, what's your name?

... Well... Fiends are a classification of demons in my world. Every demon has a class, then there's a species specific to that class... like the Fairy type, which has one of my friends, a Pixie, in it. But she's not the only Pixie.

Demon don't generally have unique names. I'm kind of an exception--I have a human heart, so...

[ He considers. How to explain? ] Mm... when Lucifer created me, I ended up as one of the Fiends--they're special demons. Very powerful, unique ones. There's only one of them. So... "Demi-fiend". Half demon, I guess, would be a close term. That's what Hitoshura means.
