Who really thought he would stay? You can't pass up an opportunity like that because it may never come around again. I wish him the best. My only fear is that UAB will not get someone of the same caliber.

Boo. One of my students is the nephew of a former UAB star - Morris Finley (they call him Mo) - don't know if you remember him but he was on the cover of SI a couple of years ago when they were highlighting UAB basketball. He's playing pro in some foreign country now. He is a really sweet man, and I knew he spoke highly of his coach whenever he would come see us.

LOVED Mo! He played while I was there-- long story short, my best guy friend was the sports writer for the UAB newspaper, so whenever I went to games with him I got to meet all the players. He's a really nice guy.
