Reid didn’t argue - partially because arguing would have taken too much energy, and partially because he knew that she was right. His serum wasn’t exactly FDA approved. If his calculations were off by even a fraction, he could end up like some kind of mutant potato man.

Normally, I don't like the characters as kids stories at all, but I found myself smiling all through that excerpt, and hoping you've got more planned. Pretty please?
