I am nervous (with shades of pre-emptive hate) about where the show is headed, but I love what you are doing with this storyline. I hope more is coming because I anticipate wanting a fully-fleshed out alterna-canon to hide in in a few weeks.

Another great follow. up. You are filling in the blanks very well. The phone call gave me chills, but I'm glad Dave was there. His convincing her to tell the team was great. Very in character for both of them. Now I'm off to read your latest installment!

Thank you so much for continuing this. :) It's lovely and the emotions here are so real. I love Dave's comforting her (I confess, I'm still crossing my fingers for some shippy stuff. LOL) and I love Dave's quiet confidence in her. And Dave's turning her own line back at her, "We care because you do", is perfect. She needs to be reminded.
