omg, this is awesome! i laughed so hard i scared the cat. so many wonderful lines to choose from, but i think 'Were you perhaps, abducted by a changeling that week?’ made me laugh the hardest. kudos!

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Yes, even Reid, who probably has the most consistent back story, is still wildly inconsistent.

Although I too always figured that he did his undergraduate work in Vegas (UNLV, most likely) and then went to Cal Tech for his PhD's. In fact, he could even have earned one of the PhD's in Vegas while he was waiting to go to Cal Tech when he turned 18. (I also think that Cal Tech wouldn't have accepted responsibility for a 12 year old in its dorms (way too much legal liability); Reid staying in Vegas makes more sense to me).

What always struck me as odd was that his undergraduate work were in social sciences (psychology and sociology), while his graduate work was in completely different areas requiring a basis in hard core science. He would have had to have studied the hard core sciences while also earning degrees in the social sciences.

Yep... inconsistencies galore.

Oh, and Reid's father really is a prick. End of story.

Also loved the pointing out of the disconnect between William Reid's "grief" and abandonment. That always bugged me too!
