New Years wasn't anything too exciting, but it's never been a huge deal to me. Although yay for having someone to kiss! We never got around to planning anything, so Matt and I just went to a nice dinner (oysters, cheese & charcuterie, beef medallions & brussel sprouts, chocolate cake...maybe pics later), and then back to his place. MARY CHRISTMAS!!!
I'm in Baton Rouge, eating my way through family and friends. We had Christmas Eve with mother's family last night, we have Christmas Dinner with multiple families today (I need to make greenbean casserole), and then we do Christmas brunch with dad's family tomorrow.

Couldn't fit *quite* everything. Left a few boxes my parents will bring me later, and just left my desk and chair with my aunt. They're 5 years old, from walmart, after Katrina...I can buy new ones.
Got away 2 hours later than I wanted, but that allowed us to hit Cane's for lunch.

To the sounds of Kristian's snores I have started Eat Pray Love, and on page 37 she mentions eating what a bus driver told her was "the best gelato in Rome" at "Il Gelato di San Crispino" and I cannot help but be a little thrilled that I, too, ate gelato there, although just on recommendation of the guidebook.
