I like this! Francis Hodgson Burnett remains one of my favorite authors. I like the original "Secret Garden" movie, but have yet to see a "Little Princess" movie that comes up to the book. Never thought of a crossover between them but it fits!

Thanks! I've been known to read both books when I need a pick-me-up, and I've seen several versions of each movie. The "Little Princess" ones all seem to want to make it a happy ending and have her father alive at the end, and they never include much of the 'Large Family'.
