I've following along the ficlets in this verse as you've posted them, and have been enjoying them. But this? This obviously hit a button somewhere.

You know the bit that just completely did me in? This:

Aww, this was lovely--tho' I did want to trout-slap John for scaring Rodney so badly. At least he's starting to wake up & sort things out. :-)

Just wait 'til John realizes that Rodney was so panicked that he set out to rescue John & disappear into the wilds of the Pegasus Galaxy without even a tablet of basic info from the Atlantis database.... Then he'll really have a clue!
