Hezekia "Zeke" Jones is a rookie cop- and a vampire. She and her partner, Howell- a werewolf- keep the streets of Philadelphia safe from goblins, ghouls and petty crime.
After stumbling across one of these drabbles on WriterVerse, I came here and read through them all. I love everything about these short stories, and would love to read more--either as drabbles or as a published novel. I'd attempt to be one of the first to buy it. n__n
Thank you! I'm kind of using theses short stories to get to know my characters and their world. So maybe I will end up writing a whole novel about them! :)
I do the same with my snippets under the name "Alex the necromancer." Creative name, I know. (The actual name of that universe in my head is Casters, but I'm not sure if I'm gonna stick with it, so I just keep it simple for now.)
It's a lot easier to work with the characters and figure out how they'll act in certain situations when they're inserted into short scenarios that don't take up months of writing to finish. After reading your snippets, I have to say: I might like your characters more than mine. ;__; So much wittier and lovable than mine...
I think I'm going to stick with "Zeke Jones" as the name for this 'verse. It's kind of like the mystery books, "(Title): a (Detective Name) Mystery" so whenever I make a cover for one, I put "a Zeke Jones story"
And I don't get as much chance as I'd like to read everyone else's stories (sorry!) but your characters are good, too! It's the variety that makes it fun, so we each have to write something different :)
