“Jones, I need you to do something for me,” said Howell, the moment he’d answered his front door.
“Um, okay,” I said. “But isn’t the full moon rising soon?”
“You can let yourself in afterwards,” he said. “But first, I need you to do something for me.”
“Anything, sir,” I promised.
He handed me an envelope. “With everything going on, I never had a chance to mail this, and it has to be post-marked today.”
I frowned. “Your taxes…? Sir, you can file those online now.”
He scowled, and I turned toward the door.
“To the post office it is…”
