I'm so sorry you guys are getting walloped out there with this winter weather. We're not quite as bad. It's up to 12 outside, with about 4 inches of snow expected today. I'm hoping to get to the store, so I hope I make it before the snow really gets going.
Cabin fever is getting to me, too. I hate being cooped up because it's so damn cold out and there's too much snow.
I'm so glad you didn't cut. Don't let the bastard (winter) win. *HUGS*
This cabin fever shit is nuts. We're starting to go after each other, which is a very bad sign - today my mom and I snapped at each other over pizza, of all things. I joke that it's only a matter of time before we start cannibalizing each other, but then again, it's not really a joke...! X__x
Hey, pizza is srs bizness! Cannibalism, well, that's pretty serious, too. Try not to resort to that. But stay warm and hopefully you can survive Polar Vortex 2.0. :/
LOL well yeah, but the problem is that my folks always want to get the lousy pizza that's closer to us, instead of the really good pizza that's just a little farther from us. :( (They both cost about the same. The real issue is that my dad hates the woman who runs the really-good pizza place, and he admitted it to me not long ago. Sigh.)
Okay, I was outside around 4:30 - 5 pm tonight (checking up on my Boo kitty and making sure she is cozy enough), and while overcast, it was quiet as a mouse and not doing anything. About a half-hour later I'm inside when I hear the wind suddenly blow up and when I look outside it's ChiBeria, Part Deux: Revenge of ChiBeria!! O__o
Snow is now my official new swear word. This winter can go snow itself with a snowing mothersnower piece of snow as far as I'm concerned.
LOL you'll get no argument from me about the cellar - tell that to my folks who built this place. I think my dad is finally starting to realize what a huge mistake this has all been. I caught him the other day on the phone with a friend of his and he was saying this winter has really made him hate everything, including this house. Sadly, we can't afford to move, and even if we could my folks will not do the sensible thing and move to a more populated area (i.e., suburb or city). They're too much small-town-rural embedded in their breeding, I guess. :( Well, this is the price one pays for living out in the middle of fucksticks: you're on your own when it comes to dealing with shit weather.
Fortunately the water has come back, at least. But now I wonder, because *another* polar vortex (albeit not as vicious as the first one) is supposed to drop in Monday and hang around for another two-three days. *
