Ugh, unreliable internet sucks. =P And your parents might not like a pro-Obama shirt, but plenty of other people would, I'm sure! <3 Heck, whenever I spot an Obama bumper sticker/yard sign/etc, I always get this big smile. (Way too many rednecks in my area, so lots of Romney support. Bleh.) If I met a person wearing a shirt like that, I'd probably tell them that they're awesome.
I would want to hug anybody I see wearing a pro-Obama shirt at this point.
Came out yesterday and saw that a house across the street has a fucking Romney sign in their yard. Ugh, now I gotta look at that every time I leave the driveway.
I have a theory about why Obama signs are far and few between. Things are so polarized right now that the Obama signs are all but certain to be vandalized/stolen/trashed. That, and if you have a situation like mine - parents displeased with O, me for him - some people are probably keeping their affiliations on the down-low so as to avoid confrontation.
Yuck. I'm glad my neighbors haven't put up signs, so far. And that's a good point about the confrontation. i hope you're right about that; God knows the anti-Obama nuts aren't shy about spouting their opinions openly. =P
Oh believe me, I know only too well how that goes.
The last time I got together with my brother and SIL over the summer, I literally had to get up and walk away after they started spewing a whole bunch of anti-Obama bullshit. (Brother is in the military and SIL is uber-religious, so there you go) I was afraid if I stayed around there any longer I was going to explode and start Family World War. :(
