Well, maybe in a way it's good to have it out of your hands. It sounded like an exhausting situation and this way you can at least put the decision behind you and concentrate on how to make the best of Illinois. And bugs are the WORST. We had a moth in the office yesterday and I told Law Clerk to kill it, so while he was up there Associate sneaked up behind me and tickled my neck and I screamed and hit him. He really put the Ass in Associate yesterday. *scowls*

What I'm going to miss most about being down here is the shopping. SO many places to go! And places to eat at. :9 Up north, I'm going to have to do some serious driving if I want to reach anything that resembles civilization. :/ And also, the freedom. I can honestly say that although I sort of missed my dad, I DON'T miss his bitching about every little thing under the sun. (He doesn't ask you to do things. He *tells* you. And you better not argue with him because then he flips his shit.)
(And the smoking. DEFINITELY don't miss that shit. (Both my parents are heavy smokers.))
