I've been very meta lately. I guess I'm using it as a break from the FIC OF DOOM THAT WILL NOT END EXCEPT I AM FINISHING IT THIS WEEKEND IF IT FUCKING KILLS ME.

I think also part of it is that I have a problem with the 'everyone on the team is gay and happy and they all have happy gay sex!' trope, unless it's obviously trying to be funny or the author works really hard to make it believable... and the Beckett-harem necessarily wallows all over that trope.

I was toying with the idea of writing Beckett as a totally badass surly asexual, but I didn't think that would go over too well. :P

i totally respect your issue with "everyone is GAAAY" - i, otoh, am willing to suspend disbelief for the purposes of guilty-pleasure porn.
