Being in an area where a cop pulled out a gun during a snowball fight and where there's a history of people with badges and titles having problems with photographers taking pictures anyway, a camera like this is a tragedy waiting to happen.
This is a tragedy waiting to happen in any area, since in any area, someone might point this camera at an armed person, and wind up getting shot. I'm not usually in favor of banning products, but I could make an exception for this one, for the obvious moral hazard. Sort of like selling a "Johnny's First Murder Kit," chock-full of straight razors and poisons, to 11-year-olds.
That product seems like a monument to stupidity to me. I don't need to give armed people, cops or private citizens, any reason to think they need to shoot me, especially not over a photo.
