Forrest J. Ackerman is dead.

To a lot of people, that doesn't mean anything. But to some of us, it means a whole lot.

Forry was the man that made "sci-fi" a household term and brought the sci-fi/horror fan magazine into its own.

He knew everyone who was ever involved in science

Are you going to make New Turkeymas tonight at Alan's house in greenbelt? It would be great to see you.

If the plan is new to you, but you want to go, if you can get to the Greenbelt metro any time after 5 pm, I'll be glad to pick you up. It's a 5 minute drive from Alan's.

Sadly, no... as I suspected when the idea first came up, I've got a prior engagement tonight. (papercuppie's birthday shindig, which I committed to months ago.)
