I like the fact that the new apartment management not only responds (and quickly) to maintenance requests, but that they're also able to read and understand notes left about things I forgot to mention when I left the original maintenance request. I feel your pain w/ the decorating stuff. I often feel clueless as to how to begin decorating a room. I generally start out with what "feel" I want the place to have (warm? Open and friendly, exotic, airy?) and what colors I have in mind, and just go from there.

I got a pretty cheap entertainment center off of Craigslist...if I had bought it new it probably would have been close to $300, but the person sold it to me for $75. So, that's an option, if you want to find cheap furniture that suits your style! I've found some relatively new, pretty stuff on there that didn't look "used" or beat up in any way.

cd binders.....bad idea
they all suck and ruin your cd's

better idea: paper cd envelopes from staples or something
alphabetize them in a shoebox, or suitcase or something.

That's what I used when I digitized all my audio cd's

added bonus: feels somehow like a boutique cd shop where they keep all the cd's behind the counter.
