In all fairness, it's not the light's fault.

It's a very nice light, for a standard long-bulb fluorescent fixture.

The fault much more lies with the way the building is constructed--and the way the apartment upstairs seems to have some major water problem in the kitchen with every new tenant. I can't help but think that with some slightly better construction, the water on their floor wouldn't weasel it's way to my ceiling to begin with.

The light, and the way it's just kind mounted through the sheet rock ceiling, just provides the easiest egress for the water as it seeks it's lowest point.

sucks! I had the same thing happen with the kitchen light in my last apartment -- the one I had just put a $10 compact fluorescent bulb into. Water blows.

Well, the good news is, the electrically wired side of the light appears to be upstream from where the water comes through. So, no actual damage to the light.

Otherwise I'd have a severe worry of fire.

As it is, I'm just starting to be concerned about mold and mildew. :|

Just once, I would like to read the headlines on Fark and see one of my friends named...

"Tenant Goes Batsh*t and Suffocates Landlord with Chez Geek Cards"... 'This guy's obviously a transplant from Florida.'

Oh, but it would be so much more creative and drawn out than that.

There would, without a doubt be a hostage situation and police stand off.

The whole of the management staff would pay.

Oh, yesssss... they would pay...

*muhahahahahahahahahahahahaha*

*ahem*

I mean...

Right. Fark headline. Funny. hehe... I would never do anything like that. ;)
