Tying up some things that need updating and correction from earlier in the blog...

According to an anonymous comment to this post, the Comic Book Challenge apparently is open to teams. Yay!

Anyone want to do some comic book art for me? :)

Hmmmm... Maybe? spirit_o_fire June 23 2006, 16:23:54 UTC
I used to do visual art. A cute and wonderful lady is pestering me to get back into it. You want to give me a call and check out my old work and get some ideas.

I am serious.

I've got many ideas... just need to script a couple out.

Been meaning to do that for a while now...

Maybe this weekend I'll actually do it... been feeling at least mildly inspired lately... :)

hehehe... not quite what I'm looking for...

But maybe the people over at Minimalist Stick Figure Theater or Stick Figure Death Theater can use those. :)

(You rock) ;)

You forgot to comment on my brilliant and subtle use of color! :-D

Well, at least under my own power, I'm not wholly reliable. But I'm more than willing to illustrate a page for you. Or an issue--finite number of pages for teh win!--but I don't see anything about that in the rules beyond the fact that you've had to have summarized it.

So . . . yeah. ^_^ (Though I do hope that other people offer, too. That way, you can have us all draw, and just choose the one you like best . . . and have a smaller chance of the artist blowing the deadline for you. Yeah? Yeah.)

In any case, good luck! :D

Oh, forgot: Resume . . . portfolio . . . thing.

Caitlin Woods has worked on several comics, such as Identity and Dog & Pony as independent web-projects, as well as a series for the The Montgomery Advocate. (Won't make you download the entire paper--a few examples are this and this. She likes working with computer-generated color, ink (and ink wash), colored pencils, and watercolor . . .

. . . and, uh, you've got a good idea of what my stuff looks like by now. >_>;;;

Spiffy. :)

(And I do enjoy some Dog & Pony every now and then... you've got some good stuff in there!)

What about having the shoes redeliver to your job? I had it done before with a purchase that required that billing and shipping had to be the same address. As soon as I got the first delivery attempt notice, I call them to redeliver it to work.

Well, that'll be what'll happen from here on out... it's just that I'm lazy and lugging the (future) packages to the metro and then on the 20 minute hike back to my apartment is just a pain.

I was so hoping for, you know, actual service from a delivery company. I should know better by now.

I once invented a business idea where I'd basically wait in people's homes for deliveries, services, et cetera during hours during which the recipient was at work . . .

Of course, the possibility for theft alone makes this a horrible idea. But hey, maybe the market's out there.

I can attest to the fact that you've never stolen anything from me, any of the times you've received packages in my stead.
Well, unless you stole it and didn't tell me. I mean, you could steal the TV and the computers and the video game machines and all the furniture, but as long as you left it in the same place, I'd never know!

(And people give maids the keys to their house all the time, so maybe it's not really such a hurdle?)

I'm surprised Sarah hasn't said anything. She's a great illustrator!

I already have several projects under my belt so I don't know if I could do it in 3 weeks. . . good luck though.

She's probably still wrapped up in her own over-booked schedule. :)

Once I have a scene or two written, I'll be sure to actually throw things at people to get their attention. ;)
