What signals are you sending (or are perceived) from your virtual identity?

There's some great stuff in there about how the signals we send can be misunderstood by those receiving them.

Ya know, you'd think communicating would be so much easier than it is since it's such an important part of life. But I look at my life and communication's role in it and sometimes start to despair. I didn't start getting really great relationships until years of grad school taught me good communication skills. Even after all the communication training, I STILL make colossal screw-ups. When my signals are misunderstood, they are REALLY misunderstood. Well... guess if you're gonna do something, you might as well go all the way, eh? :)

How does your virtual identity come across to those who may stumble across it? Who do you look like to someone who doesn't know you? Are you happy with that view?I vacillate between not caring at all and being somewhat disturbed at the juvenile tone of the bulk of my LJ. I don't want to care about what strangers think about me.
