Well now. This has been an interesting first week. The people here are wonderful, and I've been enjoying myself. True, I've spent most of my time catching up on school work that I've missed out on, and have been working out some of the communication issues but on a whole, nothing bad has happened ( Read more... )

I'm still in training, and I think there are more issues in this university than there are in all of Japan.

Sure it was.... *grins* Which is why you put them into seperate corners right away. And why there's the mini soap opera happening, and...I could continue the list. *smiles*

Mini soap opera? Are you talking about the torrid love affair between Arakida-sensei and Mie-sensei? That's been going on for years. It's a big joke. =)

I think that I know the client you're talking about. I'm very happy to see that he wasn't in hysterics after you spoke with him. =)

I'm not sure if you've experienced this in schools in America, but you're going to find that people are very restrained. Being gay and/or transsexual is still not that accepted (despite the manga), and you're going to hear that on a daily basis. Well, at least the "I'm a freak" part.

You seem to have quite a lot of knowledge on the subject, Terry. Forgive me for asking, but the tone that you've taken in this entry...did you have one of those surgeries?

It was hard, and a long session. I was just happy he seemed to understand things a little better.

It seems to much easier back in the States, yet you still hear of people being killed because of their sexual orientation.

*laughs* You're the first person to ask. Yes, I have gone through the procedure. Unlike a lot of the people here, I was born intersexed. My parents, in the one decision they made in my life, decided to have the surgery and raise me as male. I knew that it wasn't right for me at a young age. After our trip here, I contacted a doctor back in the States and he offered to reverse what the previous doctors had done. I'm very happy with it, and feel much better about myself. I know the pain associated with the surgery, and that is why I had to explain it to him. It is not pleasant.

Thankfully, not all of them are like that, but there are some cases that just break your heart. Especially when you start working the emergency line. Try not to do it at night during exam week-it's the most stressful, heartbreaking week.

Really? Do you mind if I ask you questions about it later? I'm curious. =)

I don't know now if I want to sign up for the emergency line. How hard is it to get someone to work during exam week?

Ask away. I'm used to it.

Please don't blow up our suite! While that'd be fun for a minute or two, I think quite a few people would be upset at the destruction. ;)

I'm Tachibana An, by the way, I'm sorry I haven't said hello earlier!

I promise, I won't blow up the suite. I will agree though, it would only be fun for a few minutes, then we'd be out of a place to live.

Hello! It's alright. I think that, while I've been here, I've spent more time studying and catching up that sleeping.

It it came down to that we could probably pool money and stay in a hotel or get an apartment off-campus together, or just go room with some of the boys around here. Some of them would love that, I'm sure.

Catching up is hard, isn't it? I have to agree with Ryuuzaki-chan, though, if you need somebody else to cook or help you cook just let me know :)

Oh, by the way, the sewing machine in the common room is mine. You can use it if you want, just ask me first. ♥ I'm quite particular with my baby.

Don't worry about it. Kouhei has given me a cheatsheet for the oven and it's very helpful.

I'm finally caught up...at least I think I am. I don't want to put you two out. We should all get together one night. It'll be fun.

I was wondering about it. I'm not that handy with the machines. I usually do any sewing by hand.

Terry-chan, I would be more than happy to cook if it means not having our suite go kaboom.

Would you mind helping me for a bit? I'd love to be able to cook for everyone. I would appreciate it Ryuuzaki-chan.

*blinks*

It's hearing about things like this that make me realize how easy I had it. I just told people what I was. I was pretty obvious though. But still.

In all seriousness....I think this is a mecca for the confused and the volatile. *nods*

*chuckles* If you would like Theresa I can give you the same stove cheat sheet I made for Kevin. The kanji on the dials is hard to read and blwoing up suites is frowned on. If you want one let me know.

With me, it was a little different than that. But...it's better now.

This is an interesting place to be. It hasn't been boring, I can tell you that.

I would love if you could do that. So, you know Kevin? He seems to be avoiding me.

It's not boring.

I share a suite with Kevin. I can drop off the cheat card for you later today after my Communication lab.

....

Kevin is having issues from what I can tell. Maybe you should just sit on him and make him talk. I think he finally came out of the literal closet.

Thank you so much for the cheat card. It's come in handy. Maybe one day, to thank you, I'll cook something.

Oh really? That's quite interesting. I think I should force him to talk. He hasn't really talked to me in a few years. He was upset the last time, so who knows what it'll be like this time.
