If you can get the paperwork done, you're welcome to move to Montreal anytime. Oh, of course, we get the occasional snowstorm from Hell, but usually they don't cause panic. And major icestorms that leave most of the province in the dark for weeks, and do make people panic, however, those have been known to happen only every 40 to 50 years, though that might actually become more frequent with global warming.
I don't mean to make light of hurricanes, I hate them too, especially since I have friends who live in their paths.
I am so worn out on this. I could handle any natural disaster (except tornadoes, they really scare me) but it's just dealing with hurricanes HERE. No other city quite has the same experience as we do. I'd take a snow storm in Canada over this :/
I promise to update regularly so everyone knows things are OK. ♥
I don't quite think TN is the place for me, but I had considered moving to Chattanooga at one time. If I could evacuate on my own I would go to TN to visit or somewhere other than Dallas, but until I have my own car my dad expects that my mom and I will come to him. Augh. What are your parents going to do??
Have no idea. They're coming here for the weekend just to visit and I think they're planning on going back on Sunday...unless things go to hell again of course. I love my parents, but really, I don't want them living with me for weeks again. I don't think I could take it.
Sheesh. Well at least they will already be gone and not have to worry about it if things become serious. I am really hoping they don't because I can't handle living away for weeks again. Shacked up families=bad.
