1. I watched Queer as Folk episode 101 last night and the nostalgia hit me like a ton of bricks. I had a lot of warm and fuzzies and I can't wait to marathon the series when I have a little more time ( Read more... )

Good, I'm glad! And continue! Seasons 1-3 are my personal faves. So much to love in there too and I would've never found fandom if it weren't for those guys. :D

There's so much to find and so much that tumblr has to offer! Some are so specific and fun to go through. If I had a tumblr, I'd follow yours. As it is, I can't keep track of anything that I have other than LJ.

I loved tangled, I have several cute icons of that. as for now I'm slightly obsessed with Gnomio and Juliet. omg, how cute is that story?? and the animation is perfect.

Never seen Gnomio! Doesn't really interest me much but I'm sure that I'll give it a viewing if it ever showed up on TV. Tangled's the best. I really need to find some icons.

At first I though "what,a movie about Gnoms?" but this one is realy so endearing, and beautiful,esp if you watch it 3D
plus it's got the most amazing Elton John's soundtrack (he and his husbend are the producers,btw )

As for Tangled icons, I used out good friend Google :)

Oh, I'm not a fan of 3D at all but to each their own!

I tried looking through LJ for some good Tangled icons but none of them really suited my aesthetic. I'm picky.

I signed up for tumblr long ago, and then just sat there and stared at it cause... I didn't get it. NOW THOUGH. NOW I GET IT. It's not really supposed to be a journal, it's not like LJ, it's like a streaming dashboard of pretty pretty pictures and I like that. As you said, though, it's a vortex of a black hole of quicksand that sucks you in and never lets you go. It's so easy to bounce from one post to the next to the next and then the next thing you know it's 3 hours later and you've crossed so many fandom thresholds you don't even remember where you started!

Or it that just me?

Anyway, that last gif on the bed with the orange light?!?!?! GOOD TIMES, my friend. Perfect hair, perfect rhythm, that damn hair grab I mean. Uuuunnnnnffffff for real.

Yeah, you're right! There's just so much pretty in one place that you never knew that pretty existed before it. It's also so specific sometimes. Sometimes it's a general thought followed by a million pretty pictures or an actor your think is hot, etc. There's a little something for everyone.

Omg, I forgot how epic the hair grabbing and kissing and thrusting was and then I went, "OH, YEAH. THAT'S RIGHT. THAT WAS FUCKING HOT." ... and climate controlled, ha. That was so lacking in the following two seasons. A few scenes came close but that natural, no music way disappeared.
