I've been all over the place tonight on the internet doing totally random things and listening to VH1's Greatest Songs of the 90's playlist. Glee's love for all things 90's (Acafellas, anyone?) has really got me on a nostalgic trip. I used to love those songs. I used to sing "I Wanna Sex You Up" and "Let's Talk About Sex" and my Aunt was always ( Read more... )

Yay 90's music!!!

I was on a Savage Garden kick the other night (by which I mostly mean I re-discovered my love for "The Moon and Back") as well as "Faded" by soulDecision!

I'm listening to everything and getting excited for absolutely no reason at all. Hahaha. Awww!! Omg, they are going to be next on my 90's musical journey. FADED! You mean my BFF's "SD"? Hahaha. Back in the day when I used to insert myself in the life of the average boy bander.

Okay, here's a memory for you. No Authority -- O Canada! Oh, here's two memories for you. When I first met you? You told me a story about how you got your tickets at Memorial for N Sync and Chris was in the lobby. I have an indestructible memory.

Haha yes! I miss your sD adventures. Also, Lifehouse. Kinda bummed I never did see them live.

Oh god, NA!! "Can I shake your hand?" lol. Oh dude, all of NSync was there! That was like, the epic moment in my 12 year old life. My cousins & I were approached by some guy while we were in line who asked if we would pass out fliers on the seats inside and while we were waiting in the lobby area, the guys were all walking by us from their M&G in the next room. I was like "OMG THEY ARE INCHES AWAY FROM ME RIGHT NOW." That's when Chris bumped into my cousin and she didn't wash that shirt for months. lol. And then Britney was doing sound check when I was putting fliers on the seats in front and I hated her at the time so I rushed so I could get away from the speakers. Good times.

I kind of want to listen to B*Witched but god knows where that cd is. :(

I definitely had many a memorable moment with them. They gave me the best line out of all of my experiences so far. It was something like, "We were just watching that video of you in the car." In context it makes sense since apparently I was on some secret sD video where they taped me and Caela at their concert. But still, weird. Um, and you can totally still catch Lifehouse live! I just saw them last year and all. They do the old school songs. Come down! Oh and you should totally come down for Hanson. Skip classes. That is the ONE band we need to see together. I mean, seriously ( ... )

I know, I know. I deserve a punishment worse than death.

But, good choices. Did you Spice World it up?

fjdslkfj I AM DOWNLOADING THE HELL OUT OF THIS LIST. Only not, cause I have almost everything. But I am snagging Mmmbom and Poison (which is the only from the list that I didn't know).

And now I have This Is How We Do It stuck in my head. YAY.

Also, through most of the 90's, I listened to r&b, eurotrash dance and rap. 2Pac ftw!

YAY FOR DOWNLOADING SONGS!

This Is How We Do It should be sung at random times during the day. I believe in this.

Also, yes for your 90's taste!! I don't know how you could avoid it. These songs were popular. They were everywhere. I tried to think of more rock songs and I know that there was a lot of alternative during that time. But 2Pac and Biggie kind of reigned supreme!

GOD YES. It makes me so nostalgic, in a good way. \o/

I didn't get into alt-rock and indie till well into the 2000's. The 90's were all about r&b, which was still good then and not like the current commercial crap.

WESTCOAST RAP FTW!

The 90's.... I wasn't present during that decade. I was busy avoiding The Kelly Family, DJ Bobo and a dozen other...artists that I don't remember the names of.:| Looking at your list I think the 90's here were quite different.:)

Yeah, I don't know who any of those people are! I guess this is more like ... music in the States that got constant rotation.

Uh, hello youth.

Okay, I remember all of these. And I also squeed about all those Acafellas covers. Especially "I wanna sex you up". Dude, it was such a MASSIVE hit back then and I loved it. Still do. Matt doing it kinda undid me. GUH.

YES. The covers are so, so brilliant. Matt's version literally made me melt into a puddle on the floor. Here I was listening to him do Broadway all these years when I really just wanted him to sing 90's cover songs. Who would've guessed. I hope you're jamming to this song right now. :D :D :D :D :D :D

Obviously, I never saw Matt on Broadway (*sob*).I only know these little Hairspray clips from the Tongight show and the Tonys (I think), when they do Can't stop the beat. I'd like to see more of him as Link, though. LINK! Awesome.

I'm not jamming to the Acapellas right now, but to Will's version of The Thong Song. Which makes me horny like hell. Ahem.

Sob! Yes! I'll try to look for a video for you. I got to see him when he reprised his role in Hairspray when it came to LA. But, I want to see him in more plays and shows in which he's singing 90's songs and being generally AWESOME. Glee it is! Haha.

Oh man. I was watching it last night and I'm pretty sure that I'm still a puddle on the ground somewhere.
