Is it just me, or does the dude who narrates Teletubbies sound a lot like The OperativeThe kiddo's fever is finally down. He wound up with an ear infection and potential sinusitis. Also gigantic tonsils which were causing him a lot of pain. Poor dude. He seems better this morning, finally ( Read more... )

Here's a cheerful thought - at least it's not BooBah. That show gives me the willies.

I haven't been subjected to that one, but I hear it is basically a bunch of giant nutsacs bouncing around.

Ew.

Brightly colored and making really weird sounds. It's not as whimiscally bizarre as Teletubbies and goes straight to uncomfortably weird

I'm glad the little one's feeling somewhat better. Poor kid! Poor mom!

The whole jobs in the afterlife thing reminds me of a conversation I had with a roommate about five or six years ago. We were theorizing about what happens after you die and she said something about having the same type of job in the afterlife as we had when we died. Which meant she would be a security guard and I'd be an accountant. We laughed about it at the time. But it obviously made both of us think, because a year later, she had work as a florist and I was in library school. When we talked about it later, we both said that our conversation is what helped us realize we weren't happy with what we were doing with our lives. She said she'd be happy working with flowers in the afterlife and I said I'd love being a librarian forever. :)

That is way cool. I'm definitely playing off the theme that what you do in life affects what you do in death, at least for a while.

I'm glad you're my beta reader (haha, you didn't know that did you?)

(from the "it's all about me" files...)

sound a lot like The Operative?

Dude, I just read Chiwetel Ejiofor's wiki page, and it turns out I'm actually a little bit older than he is. Jeeeeez...

Really? I wouldn't have guessed that, though on reflection he doesn't *look* any older than you (I thought he was around 40ish).

Must be the accent that makes him seem older, or something.
