Being the house of geeks that we are, I have seen the whole thing uncut for America and it was good.
I hate it when they cut stuff....

Did they cut anything plot-relevant? And, more crucially, is John Barrowman unblurred in the proper version?

I do not remember it being blurred out at all. I'm not sure what was cut, try not to watch the BBC America/SyFy versions of stuff. We acquired the original BBC version just after it was aired in England each night.

OK just had my husband look and here is what he had to say:
-ok, there is full frontal, but it is in a small video feed of the cell, with a minor number obstruction, not blurred... but too small to get good detail..
-and after the concrete breaks only full rear and above from rear shots
-and after he wakes up screaming badly burned, that area too dark to see anything
