Our holidays together have been homey and pleasant and drama-free, just as though we'd been doing it for years.

Isn't that a marvelous feeling? It's the same with me, and a welcome change from the high drama of recent years. I have every faith that with your talents and abilities, your job search will prove successful and land you a better position.

I think it's a gift of maturity to realize what a blessing lack of drama can be. Quiet cheerfulness was sadly underrated in my youth.

Thanks for your good wishes.

You were an inspiration to me in trying some more imaginative photography. I definitely have to learn more about my camera, because I tried this about seven different ways and it's still pretty messy from a technical standpoint. Not a resolution, exactly, but something I want to do more of in the coming year.

Cheers to you and John for 2007!

Yay for non-drama! I didn't realize just how great it was to be drama-free, but these things come with age.

I'm glad to hear Zeytin is good -- been meaning get there again for some time, and haven't been since it opened.

I had only eaten there once before, but the party menu was a good opportunity to try a bunch of things, and they were all good. We also really liked the friendly staff. They had a good team spirit. After midnight, they were playing a bunch of different music and they let the Mexican busboys put on some of their tunes -- I got a huge kick out of I Will Survive in Spanish with an acoustic guitar solo in the middle. It was cool that they were included.
