I have no idea what to dress up as at Joanie's birthday. (*hint, hint*) I think I'm going to dress up as a planet... but in that case; whitch one? You can do a lot of funny things with Mars, but all the others are great to! ... How do you dress up as a solar system...?

Pluto is still a planet

If you had been planning to go as planet Pluto, you should still do so. The controversial demotion of Pluto was done by only four percent of the IAU, most of whom are not planetary scientists, and was rejected in a petition of hundreds of professional astronomers led by Dr. Alan Stern, Principal Investigator of NASA's New Horizons mission to Pluto. Many astronomers do still consider Pluto a planet and are working to overturn the demotion.
