add me to the list? oh, hi, my name is...btcarlMay 3 2004, 00:44:14 UTC
Hi there. I've seen your entries on rightwinger's friends page, and I wouldn't mind getting to continue to read them :). I'm a student at SLU and a good friend of Rob. (We miss him terribly here). My girlfriend, who is MsMcGuire on livejournal, also has you on her friends list.
I'm a devout Catholic, a huge Tolkien fan (but it looks like you've probably got me beat), and a Carlist. (That is, I would like to return to the 13th century.) I don't update my journal too often, though, so don't expect much in that department :)
If you don't mind, could you add me to the list of people that can view your entries? Many thanks!

Buaha! I actually know who you are, how's that? And I've enjoyed getting to know all your friends both in real life and on LiveJournal, so welcome. Katy's awesome, you're a lucky guy. (But you knew that already!)
I didn't know there was a term for people who wanted to return to the 13th century! Nifty! I'll have to hoard that one away. I can never decide between the 13th and 14th and 15th centuries, but if one isn't to careful one runs into the black plague. :(
Welcome! I look forward to reading your entries, too, no matter how sparse. :)

Well, the Carlists were a group in the Spanish Civil War in the 1930's. Spain was a relative latecomer to industrialization, and the Carlists thought that it wasn't too late to just dismantle industry and return to agrarian feudalism, with a Catholic monarchy.
I want to return to the 13th century, and especially to 13th France, when King St. Louis IX ruled France and St. Thomas was teaching in Paris. Could it get better than that? :)

I'm all about the fourteenth century myself -- out of those three, anyway, as I'm also quite fond of the sixteenth. But then, if I lived in the sixteenth century, I'd definitely be the wrong denomination, in England anyway...
Hi, Helen! I most definitely will. ^_^ It's always nice to meet another decent Badminton player - the world is blessed with so few. ~_^ I'll be pleased to!
