I heard the author of the cover article on NPR today. She was doing well, though I turned her off after the first "you're wrong, I'm a Christian and I say so" called in.

I bet she had a really good rebuttal though. I could tell as I was reading that that was the reaction many (less open-minded) Christians were going to have, but if they're willing to LISTEN, she's got a real point.

She did. I've just been around and around this one enough [reasonably produtively; I think; the firs time out was very enlightening] that I didn't have it in me to keep listening beyond that point. But yes -- I think that what she has to say is important, and it's wonderful that it was said in such a widely-read forum.

Robert Minor [who is published on the subject, but also happens to be local, and so I've heard him speak a few times] does this all very well, too. Umm... here's what I wrote down the first time I heard him speak.

The last I had heard about this, the normal parent had "won." I didn't realize that the nutjob was holding the kid hostage. Wow! Sounds like the little girl is suprisingly well-adjusted for being stuck with a crazy person. I hope changes are reached before she is totally messed-up.
