Rug Doctored

I just finished Rug Doctoring my carpets. I'm always pleased by how nice and clean the carpet looks after I've gone over it with the cleaning machine. And I'm always startled by how nasty the water looks when I dump out the reservoir. I guess weekly vacuuming doesn't get the ground in dirt hiding in the carpet fibers.

The leftover water grosses me out too. I've decided that a few factors have played into my absolute need for hard floors:
1) 4 pets, yikes
2) I never wear shoes, and my feet are always dirty

I only have carpet in 3 bedrooms. The rest of the house, fortunately, is tile or laminate flooring. Much easier to maintain.
