Thank you.

Oh, the order of the pharaohs isn't in question, it's the years of their reigns. Several sources say that year was the beginning of the reign of the last pharaoh of the 12th dynasty, but several other say that it was the middle of the reign of the first pharaoh of the 13th. Bloody confusing.

I'm thinking more "Rose, we're going to be here when Napoleon's army comes through! Isn't that fantas... hey, wait a minute." *giggles madly*

Oh yes, Ten in an Egyptian kilt... now *that* is uncomfortably bare-chested Doctor love!

God, yes.

Others have praised what's lovely about the writing, and it is - but for me, it's that you hit exactly on why I loved them. It's that feeling of balance, of wholeness that makes no sense by our cultural narrative norms and yet was right there on our screen in glorious Technicolour chemistry. It's amazing to me how quickly they were so right, and how short a time we actually had them.

Thank you! :)

I've been seeing more and more examples of that kind of dynamic in popular culture over the past 6 years or so--polyamory is still very much frowned upon, but with comics like Queen of Wands and shows like Big Love (okay, Mormons are creepy, bit it's the thought that counts) becoming popular and gaining critical acclaim, it's not as unheard of as it once was.

In this case, it's mostly (highly enjoyable) subtext, but it still shapes their interactions in a noticeable manner, and that's why each separation is so heartbreaking.

This is just awesome - I have a real thing about stories in threes (don't ask) and this is perfect. "Captain shaped hole" *sob* "their broken parts no longer mesh" *more sobs*

Damn. Someone pass the tissues?

Great writing. And can't wait to see the Egyptian one! Wonderful! :D

Thank you!

I'm not going to be posting the Egyptian one until mid-August; I'm doing things the "right" way and actually researching the history, getting the silly thing beta-read, etc.

Besides, I'm not allowed to post it until then anyway, per the challenge rules. >.

Thank you. It's nice to know I've got that whole "gut-wrenching pain" thing mastered.
