Oh my gosh! I don't know what sounds better, the food, the ocean, the grounds (with peacocks!), or the just hanging out! Thanks for sharing the photos! It sounds like you had a wonderful time despite the scare in the water. (I'm can't see my hand in front of my face without my glasses, either, so I feel your pain.) (I also can't believe the horse riding people had the horses gallop across the sand without any care to whether the people were novices or not! Sheesh! I think I would have crapped my pants if I was N.)
{Regarding your last photo, most of our restaurants serve our drinks (even soda and iced tea) with the ends of the straw paper still on for sanitary reasons. Others just give you the straw for you to unwrap yourself.}
I don't think I could pick a winner myself! There were the few hitches here and there, but it truly was the holiday of my dreams.
Oh I see about the straws, makes sense. At first we were baffled, wondering if maybe the server had just been careless in removing the wrappers, but then every subsequent straw was also delivered like that, and we just rolled with it.
