*squeals* We just went to see the movie on Saturday, and omg, it was so goooood! As I said in my post, the humor and Loki were my favorite bits and I paid little attention to the battle that was the backdrop for the best parts. I guessed that the 'fight' between Loki and Thor was all an act/illusion (wrt to Thor's hand), but I cried real tears because I thought Loki had really died. (Though I did wonder at him being killed so ~easily.) I was one of those who were really surprised by the reveal at the end, despite 'Odin's' posturing. Both Pip and I walked out of the theater going, omg, what just happened, what does that mean?!! And, of course, looking forward to seeing Loki again. *g*

I totally thought that Loki had gone off-script on his own (though I didn't think he was going to be actually betray Thor), but in hindsight I really should've seen that they were both in it.

The reason I guessed Loki didn't die for real was that his 'death' had way too little drama. I figured that if they were to kill off such a central character (and a fan favourite at that), they'd totally milk it for all it was worth.

I can't wait to see where they're going to take the character next! Is indentured servitude still a thing? Could we make Tom Hiddleston do nothing but Loki projects for the next five years?
