Toddlers are exhausting.

Oi, could someone please change my baby back into a newborn for just a week. Toddlers are so much work! I miss having a little tiny baby who just lays there. I used to just lay on the couch with her on my chest and eat and watch movies. Ah, those were the best times. Little babies are so simple and have so few demands. They just want to eat and pee ( Read more... )

Hang in there!! Every day will be a little better, I expect! :)

Tho I suppose new problems arise.

My brother drove me nuts until about age 11. Oh, wait, he's still 11 and he still drives me nuts. :) I like him a lot more now tho, and I expect I'll like him more the older he gets.

Wow, you had a much easier newborn than I did then!

Mine wouldn't let me sit down. Literally, if I wasn't walking around, she was usually crying (and that was the ONLY way to put her to sleep). Somehow she knew the difference between me walking and me sitting in the rocking chair.

Little babies are cute, but MAN I do not miss it ... at least because my own was SOOOO much work.

Aryquin wasn't an easy baby at ALL. She was difficult, just in a different way. I guess every baby is difficult in some way. Some babies have colic. Some babies won't sleep at night. Some babies are terrified of everything. Some babies can't be put into a car seat.

Aryquin was ultra high-needs. She did, at least, let me sit down, but I had to hold her literally every second. She did not like to be put down. EVER. I learned how to do everything while holding her. She wasn't happy in the carrier a lot of the time. She wanted arms around her. Sometimes I just couldn't do a damn thing.

It made me crazy at first, but then I realized that it could be a blessing in disguise. I mean, I totally had an excuse not to do any housework those first few months :)
