Maybe it's because I haven't been outside the walls of St. John's college today, but there seems to be a calmer feel about the day, and I find my mind wandering back to what I need to get done

I know, I hope they don't disappoint us at the book store. But Oxford is really famous for all their book stores, and they are all right next to each other. So, they are all competing for sales and parties, hence the live owls. I also had a choice of a magic show and seeing the "real Hagrid."
I will be in England until August 10, studying away. Though I must say, it has really grown on me.
if you have a Tesco around you, i know they carry the Old El Paso brand of mexican food DIY stuff. I actually prefer the british incarnation of the fajita mix, it's much spicier. Of course, if you don't have a place to cook stuff you're out of luck, but you can always get tortillas and guacamole mix!
No place to cook, just a fridge, and I'm not a big fan of cold Mexican ;). I think I will just try to hold out until I get home for some quality Mexican food. I know I will really appreciate it then. The cheese and onion pies remind me a little of enchiladas, just without the spice. What is a Tesco? like a grocery store? We have a Sailsbury, which seems to be pretty good. I am also in love with Cadbury hot chocolate. =)
From the UF reference I am going to assume this is Liz ;)
You really should try to find a program over here. It is absolutely incredible, and I have felt like I have been in a book ever since I got here, especially in Oxford. I don't know if UF is in the associated colleges of the south, but if so, you should look into the program I'm doing. It gives you a lot of flexibility and they do all kinds of fun things. It is kind of expensive though, but fortunately the program offers scholarships (that's how I got to go) . It's called "British Studies at Oxford."
you know what i just thought about.. you were in ny RIGHT before 9/11 and you were in england when that happened.. !!!!!!!!!!!!!! creepy. stay safe, love you.
I know! I called my dad the day all this happened here and he said the same thing. I didn't even think about it. He told me he was staying out of my wake. Fortunately I have managed to stay out of harm's way, but I'll definately do my best to be cautious. No trips into London for a while, that just makes me nervous.
