Barbie and Vic came together after shooting MARS when they were promoting the series over in Taiwan. They were together 3 years, which in itself is a small feat for the both of them as their previous relationships with others were very short flings. Vic even had a nickname that said something along the lines of *1 year duration lover*. So yeah it must have been love for the two of them and I still think they look good together.
Anyway - back to MARS. It was my first dorama I ever watched. And I fell so hard for doramas in general and MARS in particular that I haven't looked back since. Though after two years of watching, I have developped a preferance for Japanese dramas (It all started with Kimura's Pride), there are still a few jems of Taiwanese and Korean dramas that I love. But MARS will always be my first ever drama love :)
mmmm...:) I'm kind of jealous that it was the first one you watched. But that's interesting about Jdramas, I haven't started in on them yet...
3 years - *sigh* Still, at least, as you say, they must really HAVE loved each other at one point to stay together that long. It's just - sad. :( They're so good together.
Good twdramas. Here is my Top 10 list. Though I'd take Romantic Princess off it, thought it was awful when I watched more of it. And I also would add 'Wish to see you again' and 'Sweet Relationship' (both Vic dramas) to the list. I've also heard really excellent things about My Lucky Star.
yeah, Romantic Princess was so much fun until it, so abruptly, just completely derailed. I stopped watching it(about tw0-thirds of the way through I think) I've never finished it:(
but ooooh! Vic dramas...and I love this list. I am drawn and yet frightened by Silence(can I handle it? don't know. will save for a time when I have a lot of emotional energy) and right now Why Why Love and A Love to Kill from your other list are vying to be my next drama.
Oh, I'm sorry! Haha, I usually don't post so often about one thing but I was doing it while I was watching it. I'll definitely look into doing that.
They are the Asian equivalent of television shows actually ;), except with a definite end - more of a very extended film - they're called dramas or doramas. I discovered them about a year ago and couldn't recommend them more. Go here- http://hubpages.com/hub/dramaguide if you're curious - I wrote up a guide on them.

The Outsiders is really the best twdrama ever made (IMO), and Mars only tops it because it was my first.
