I had a look on Amazon and many of her books have been released as paperbacks recently, which is great! She has also two new books, The Scarlet Lion (will be released in Dec. 2006) and The Greatest Knight, both of which I have added to my wish list. I think I have about 100 things on there now, hehe.

It took me 10 years to collect all of Madeleine Brent's works (by the way, MB is an alias for the writer Peter O'Donnell who wrote the Modesity Blaze series).

Try to find "Tregaron's Daughter" (e-bay has MB's books every so often and can get a great deal). You may be lucky and find these books in your local library.

SQUEE! Solitary Envoy = Bethany book!! I haven't met the Bunns yet, but I hope to! They live in England, but they are over here all the time. They live in a CASTLE in England!!! Sadly, I haven't read any of the books in the series :(

More Bethany books that I recommend:
anything Lynn Austin (although they aren't officially "romance"
Deeanne Gist - Bride Most Begrudging, Measure of a Lady
Cathy Marie Hake - Letter Perfect
Judith Pella - Mark of the Cross
Nancy Moser - Mozart's Sister (again, not really romance-y)

that is the short list ;P

Hi! I guess I'm new! But, books! I love books.

My friend has recently gotten me into reading Georgette Heyer books. I actually just finished These Old Shades and am somewhere in the middle of its sequel, Devil's Cub. I recommend them both. I also liked The Masqueraders by her. I can't remember other titles. Oops!

Two other authors I like, that aren't on your list are Melissa Nathan, who has a couple modern updates of Jane Austen's books (Pride, Prejudice and Jasmin Fields and Persuading Annie) as well as a couple others. Also Judith Merkle Riley. Hers are historic fic with strong women characters.

Hi,
I read your posts on Costume Drama and hopped over into your LJ. :)
I don't generally read strictly romance--I like some mixed into the books I read but most 'plain' (Christian anyways) romances are corny. I did like A Walk to Remember though. *g*

I reccomend The Lowlands of Scotland series by Liz Curtis Higgs. The story of Jacob, Rachel & Leah set in Scotland in the 1660's.
Lovely romance, history, family, etc...If you read them at some point I'd love to talk about them! :) I hang around CD quite a bit. Do you mind if I friend you? :)

btw I'm Anna. *grin*
