From in_the_blue: The Lost Season 5 Fantasy League. Basically you pick eight characters (from eight categories, so no front-loading) and gain or lose points based on what they do in each episode: kill people, appear in flashbacks, see polar bears, whatever.

Just so you don't have to do the math yourself unless you really want, DarkUFO does it for you and posts the point and score and leader and celeb charts every week after an episode airs. It usually takes till... oh, Monday or Tuesday for him to compile and post the data.

And... let's see, here are my picks, after much consideration. (This upcoming season was way harder for me than the past one:)

I thought Ben had a fairly low chance of killing people directly, but now I'm not sure and kind of regretting him.

All picks are good picks, and Ben did kill Keamy directly. And remember, almost every character shows up eventually.

My sentimental side really wanted to pick Vincent the dog in the second group, but I couldn't make myself do it.

Ben also killed those two guys in Tunisia! I was all, "Pssh, he'll get Sayid to do it" but since Widmore "changed the rules" I'm worried he'll go nuts. I still think he's likely to be in every episode, get a flashback, and get in the last word.

Oh, I want Vincent to show up again in the worst way, but he just seemed like such a low chance. Watch, the entire arc of season 5 will be him getting back to Walt. :P

I could just check the comments thread, but maybe you know: if a character dies, does he still lose points in all the subsequent episodes for not showing up?
