Supernaturally Awesome

I spent Easter weekend with the siblings and sibling-in-law, the highlight of which was probably engelhardtlm1 running us a one-shot of Hunter: The ReckoningCharacter creation happened at eleven-thirty at night. Oh boy, I've never played a tabletop D&D variant but that does that make me miss my old roguelike games. NetHack, Ancient Domains of Mystery, Omega. Every one was a megabyte or smaller but were so detail-packed and immersive you could spend weeks on a single game and end up screaming when the all-powerful RNG decided it was your turn to die a horribly stupid death.

Haha, wow. That's old school. I've never played one of those. Not sure I'd want to, if it comes to death and tears.

Isn't Bluster the Redeemer edge, and Mercy-based?

Hey man, I just did what they told me. :) If I'm remembering right, this would be my first Hunter game...which I can throw on the pile with like two each of Deadlands and Mage.

Sam and Dean Winchester are the brothers in Supernatural who have apparently made a bigger impression on our psyches than we thought. :)

You're right, haha. Oops. Oh well! Not a whole lot of edge-using...wait, actually NO edge-using happened. We were too busy eating at El Milkshake (same Anica City, basically, different reality) and snarking at each other. And pulling practical jokes. And SNARKING. Like there was no tomorrow, which, in game...there wasn't.

*giggles madly* Oh, that's awesome. I've never actually played in a real RPG myself, only watched others play, but that looks like a lot of fun.

And I'm so in for your next monster mystery, either weekend is good.
